Welcome to the Hearne Hardwoods Inc. wood encyclopedia. There are over 50,000 wood species in the world. Our wood encyclopedia only covers our knowledge of the species that we have or have carried. From the time we started we have probably come in contact with about 150 to 200 different types of wood, at present we maintain about 120 species. Our Wood Encyclopedia contains pictures and lumber information of all our main species.
